What can we say except amazing and thankyou. A stunning cottage in the perfect location. Beautifully decorated / finished and really appreciated the washing machine. The only negative is that we had to go home! Thank you for the wonderful memories.

B&C August 2019

What an amazing view The Stables is lucky to have, and such a great, peaceful location. The Stables has been perfect for us and our 4 and 5 year olds have been very happy here. We haven't been to the Lake District for over 5 years and have loved being back for a short visit from Saudi. It has been lovely seeing the greenery and having some cooler weather! Thanks for a great stay.
F.C, July 2019

First visit to the Lakes and now in love. Our stay at The Stables was a big part of that; the breath-taking views coupled with feeling at home in the cottage made this the perfect break away from the city. We will definitely be recommending this place to others, but not too many as it's unavailable when we want to come back! Already planning our next visit! Thank you for building and renting this lovely place and we will see you again soon. Now for one last walk to Orrest Head.
L&L, June 2019

Another lovely stay at The Stables, our third visit. Quite wet this holiday but hoping for better weather when we come back in August. Cottage as always is lovely, a real home from home with everything we need. Stunning views, Coniston Old Man fabulous. What more could you ask for. Thanks again.

Lovely break here in the sunshine. Brilliant spacious cottage with gorgeous views. Got lots of photos of the sunsets! Had a nice time pottering around Windermere, Bowness and a day trip to the stunning Aira Force. Hopefully we'll be back in the future! Beds were super soft, huge bathrooms and kitchen well equipped. What's not to love! Thank you.

Thank you for a fabulous stay; so kind of you to order the weather! We've had an amazing week, bagging 18 new Wainwrights, boat trips, Via ferrata at Honister and Lakeland Motor Museum. The Queen's Head at Troutbeck was lovely. Best bit was relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine every day when we returned; we loved the garden.

Can we move in permanently? Cottage is perfect ? we didn't need to bring anything. You can tell a woman runs this place; everything is in the right place and everything is provided. Fantastic base for going out and seeing the Lakes. Tess the dog has had a lovely time. We will definitely return! Thank you.

We have had such a wonderful week at The Stables Cottage. 11 Wainwrights, 50km of fell walking in snow, sunshine and good old fashioned Lake District Rain. Whatever the weather it was always a delight to come back to the comfort of the cosy and well equipped cottage. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing in the spacious living area and enjoyed fireworks over the lake on NYE.
We would love to come back!
