Property Notes
The cottage is most suitable for two people, a fantastic 'romantic retreat'. Although families of up to 2 adults and 2 children are welcome by prior arrangement, due to the layout of No.4 Coppermines the property is not suitable for infants or children under 8 years of age. The owners consider the cottage too small for four adults, except in exceptional circumstances and by prior arrangement only.

Please note that this cottage is situated within a mountain environment and as such, care and consideration must be given on approach to the cottage.

For cycling enthusiasts there are some fantastic trails to be found in the area and the delights of Grizedale Forest are only a short ride away. For runners of all abilities the Lakeland Trail series visits Coniston yearly offering 5k, 10k, marathon and half marathon options. A favourite events amongst visitors and locals is the annual Coniston 14, 13.9 miles of scenic beauty as runners of all ages lap Coniston Water. For endurance athletes the Montane Lakeland 100 & Lakeland 50 events depart from Coniston each July and a whole host of water sports can be enjoyed down at the boating centre. M&C, June 2019

We have just returned from a brilliant weekend at 4 Mountain Cottages, where we were lucky enough to have a good amount of snow. The cottage is spotlessly clean, and while small, was everything we wanted for a relaxing and tranquil weekend. The property is ideally located to walk straight into the mountains, and has a cosy log burner for when you get back in. We walked to the Village each night for a couple of drinks and then back to the log burner and stunning views of The Old Man. Company were very good to deal with. Already looking at booking again for next year.
