Old Quarry Cottage is an end-of-terrace slate cottage up at the top of The Banks, on one of the highest roads in the village. Built in the early C18th these cottages were homes to the local mine workers, whilst management lived on roads below. Their loss, as the views from up here, are just the best!

Ideally situated this cosy cottage enjoys immediate access onto the surrounding open fells and the delights of the village are less than a 10 minute stroll downhill.

The cottage enjoys fantastic views from both its inviting sundeck and the master bedroom which look out over Coniston Water and the rolling Grizedale hills beyond.

In essence Old Quarry Cottage is perfect for couples, friends and small families looking to explore.

Ground floor
Entrance into the slate-floored kitchen-diner; a well appointed room with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and seating for 4.

The cosy living room benefits from comfortable seating, an inviting log fire plus TV with DVD player should you ever get bored of the views.

A patio door leads from the sitting room out onto a small sun deck, offering stunning views across Coniston Water: a perfect spot for doing nothing but relaxing and soaking up the views.

First floor
Upstairs there's a double room with views across to Coniston Water and another room to the rear of the cottage. If there are four of you, you'll have to flip a coin, it's only fair.

Bedroom 1 - double bed & lake views
Bedroom 2 - twin 2'6" single beds (or king size bed)

House bathroom with small bath, shower & WC.

The cottage has a delightful sun deck with fantastic lake views, and a small paved terrace garden below with garden furniture.

There is also a small utility room with washer/dryer in the outbuilding next to the property.
